Don’t underestimate the value of hot water

Don’t underestimate the value of hot water

Electric water boilers are rapidly growing in popularity. Primarily because these nifty appliances prove that green gadgets can be better not only to the environment and to your wallet, but also to your lifestyle.

Heating water with an electric water boiler is faster and more energy efficient than using your electric or gas stove. This is because the heating coil is suspended in the water you’re trying to heat. So, there isn’t a loss of energy into the surrounding air. Also because the heating coil is submerged, the coils energy is extracted into the water more completely, whereas an electric stove’s coil has to cool down after removing the water.

Because an electric water boiler is more efficient, it is also faster. Making a pot of tea takes nearly half the time. If you are cooking with boiling water, you can heat the water in your electric boiler before adding it to the stove. An electric boiler is also a great solution for a dorm room or office break room that lacks a stove, which the millions who depend on ramen noodles can appreciate.

If you need water which is only warm, it is safer to use cold tap water and then heat it up in your electric water boiler. This is because warm water in your plumbing is a perfect environment for bacteria. While this bacteria is okay for showering and washing your hands (because you are also using soap) it is bad for young and old people as well as house pets and plants.

Electric Water Boilers are sold anywhere you can find other household appliances and start at about $10. Some more advanced models even allow you to control the exact temperature, which any baker out there will love
